We are happy to announce that the Valencia County Literacy Council has joined the Greater Valencia County Chamber of Commerce!

Previously the Greater Belen Chamber of Commerce, The Greater Valencia County Chamber of Commerce has a mission that we feel goes along with ours very well, “We advocate at the local, county and state level for laws and statutes that are conducive to good business support and we shout from the mountaintops through social media and traditional media about our members and their happenings.”

Being a member of the Chamber allows us to be able to spread the word about our work and to network with other agencies and businesses in Valencia County more effectively. Pictured below is Gabriella, Cecy, and Rhona Espinosa with the Chamber.

Our Financial Literacy Tutor Cythia Reyes has been busy and several students have recently received their Financial Literacy certificates. 

Sometimes folks may not realize that literacy is more than just reading and writing. It is vital that it encompasses all facets of life.
